About four years ago I purchased my initial gaming computer. It has always impressed me with its performance, especially when handling multiple tasks and delivering solid frame rates. Recently though, it has started behaving oddly. Previously it handled background processes smoothly and maintained impressive FPS. Now, even without any background activity, the browser's performance has noticeably dropped. I suspect it might be underperforming despite normal temperatures. I've considered updating the BIOS, but since I'm not familiar with that process, I wanted to gather more expert advice.

Probably true. Update all your motherboard drivers from the manufacturer's site. (Since you don't share your build, I can't provide a direct link. Just search for your exact model online.) Also, fetch the newest AMD chipset drivers from that source.

Verify if any of your RAM sticks are malfunctioning. Single-channel memory impacts performance.

Consider that newer BIOS versions may not work with older 3600 models. You might need to change the thermal paste on both the GPU and CPU, and ensure the system is free of dust.
