Hello! I'm really struggling to figure out what to do. I'm a streamer who plays games like Modern Warfare and Apex Legends. I'm facing lots of problems connecting to the servers. I've checked my router settings, turned on QoS, created specific rules for gaming ports, and even set a static IP. I also used Cloudflare DNS, but I'm not sure if that helps with gaming. I've watched tons of tutorials and videos trying to fix this, but I'm still confused about which servers I'm actually connected to. My internet speeds are around 310 Mbps download and 28-33 Mbps upload, and I'm using a good Cat6 cable. My PC specs are pretty modern, but I'm not sure what's causing the issues. Any tips would be super helpful!

Do you know what the I.P address of those servers are? If you do, you can use the pathping command in the command prompt. It tells you if packets are being received and how fast it gets there from hop to hop, or router to router towards that particular server. It will also tell you if there is any packet loss and tells you exactly when it was lost on the entire route. If there is any loss, you can go into your routing table and replace that router with another one. I've never done it myself, so just make sure you know exactly what you are going before you do it, I only know it can be done. I'm not sure what your internet service provider can do for you in this instance either. From my understanding, sites like 'Speedtest.net' won't really do much for you, because its not actually testing the connection speed to the specific servers in question that you are actually having trouble with. All that site tells you is if you are getting the service quality you paid for, but your problem might not be on your end.

Apex doesn't share the IP addresses of their servers. I'm not even sure which servers I'm linked to in Modern Warfare. What I can do is check ping and traceroute to battle.net and easo.ea.com or similar sites to observe the connection. Attache are the PingPlotter results for EA servers. Image 65252 shows no Apex running while image 660050 indicates Apex is active.

I believe the "PL%" part refers to packet loss in your ping plotter tool. It appears you're experiencing significant packet drops at certain network segments. Since I haven't used that software before, I can't confirm details. I've analyzed the pathping results for those sites and found more insight. The reported 100% loss in round trips suggests the router isn't responding to ICMP messages. If no packets reach the next hop, it's likely a network issue on their side. You should reach out to support with the IP address and affected locations to get further assistance. Pathping results for Easo.ea.com and battle.net are available as well.

Hello! I ran a path ping to both EA servers and Battle.net. The results are attached here! Links to the routes: route to easo.ea.com and route to battle.net servers.

There’s some packet loss present, but I’m uncertain if it’s significant enough to be obvious. Still, it seems the issue isn’t with your connection in either scenario—it lies with them. What kind of network problems are you encountering? Are you experiencing delays, difficulty connecting to a match, or trouble with the server itself? You might want to try restricting CPU threads for the games and software you use to stream via the task manager’s affinity setting. There are other solutions available, but I haven’t experimented with them myself. The challenge is that your CPU only offers 8 threads, leaving limited capacity from the start. If the problem stems from your side, it could point to a hardware concern. When playing games while streaming, consider upgrading to a CPU with at least 16 threads, preferably more. Others may have alternative recommendations.

My stream runs smoothly without any problems. On Apex I’m facing a lot of packet loss and frequent disconnections. In today’s digital battles the servers seem strained due to heavy traffic. It probably stems from a game server issue, and it seems my connection path through my ISP is the culprit.

The problem isn't the streaming service itself; it's your computer's CPU. It only has eight threads, and a game can use up to six at a time. That leaves very little capacity for streaming. You're still experiencing gaming issues without streaming. Your connection path appears stable, with less than 1% packet loss on one hop. I used an I7-4790K (4 cores, 8 threads) and often struggled with recording or streaming while playing.

He’s still facing problems with Apex, only the game is running and it causes errors. Most other games behave normally except for poorly optimized and problematic servers from Blizzard and Battle.net.

From your ping plotter information, it seems the issue lies mostly with them, though I’d still recommend upgrading if you’re planning to stream or record. They currently lack sufficient threads for such tasks.
