I'll evaluate the expenses of both options and choose the more affordable one.

I'm cautious about making changes without first talking to them. It's not wise to alter someone else's network.

The concern lies in whether they’re comfortable with it, as their guidance would clarify what works and what doesn’t. Without that clarity, there’s a small risk of interfering with the system. I understand their perspective, but I believe it’s more likely the outcome depends on restrictions rather than functionality.

The issue I'm facing stems from the recent hostel relocation, which hasn't altered our setup across all locations. We were connected via the AUX port of the AP, but the LAN pass-through function was working before. Now it's not functioning in this new hostel. I haven't reached out to the network administrator or engineer, so I'm exploring alternative solutions.
