Hi everyone — I have a small inquiry. Can I link the LAN port of a Power over Ethernet adapter to a WiFi extender or Ethernet switch? I’m just trying to confirm if this setup could cause network loops, though it seems unlikely. Thanks!

Certainly! The complete sequence involves initiating a loop, which then activates a series of connected devices in order.

I believe this setup won't form a loop. The main router linked to the UK telephone line connects to the TP-Link extender, which uses an Ethernet cable to reach the LAN port on your PoE adapter. The PoE port then sends the signal through the LAN port of a Mitel VoIP phone. My main worry is that the extender might broadcast Wi-Fi while the Ethernet is active, but that's normal behavior for such networks.

You're operating the port according to its original design. The extended network exists solely for wireless clients to differentiate it from the main signal. Since your connected device functions as a wireless bridge, everything should work properly.
