The power source stopped working, so I replaced it and discovered that when I connect the power cable, it shuts off and won’t turn on unless I remove the cable.
It might have been your previous power supply that caused issues with your board or CPU. Could you tell me what PSU you used before—including its wattage, brand, and model—and which one you currently have? Also, let me know the cable you're referring to, whether you have a photo, and what CPU you're running.
Your CPU is an AMD FX-8350. The previous power supply was a Thermaltake LitePower 700 with the LP-700AL2NH model. The new PSU is a Thermaltake LTP-0650P-2 LitePower 650W.
The Litepowers are quite basic power supplies. If the system doesn’t turn on even with the CPU power connector in place, it could mean either the board or the CPU is damaged. You won’t be sure until you replace one component. Try borrowing from someone or use a budget FX4100.
The board requires a CPU to function. You must acquire or obtain another board or CPU, then evaluate different setups to see what works and what doesn’t.
