Hello everyone! I'm facing some playback problems with my Plex Server. It's running inside a Docker container on my Synology DS420+, and certain movies are stuttering when played raw. Transcoding fixes everything, but it drains the CPU to 99%. Also, only one stream is active, and with five people sharing access, it's not ideal. I thought my Synology might be underpowered, so I added 16GB of RAM for the 20 containers I'm using. Anyone else had similar issues? Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your help. Will

It might be possible, but playing RAW just means sending the data without much effort—definitely not demanding for any NAS with bitrates below a simple copy. Transcoding fits the picture. Likely the problem lies with the client side; I experienced stuttering and frame issues on my ShieldTV, so I switched to using the TVs app even though it offers less picture quality. Many devices struggle with RAW Bluray rips because their decoders are built for streaming bitrates, not the higher quality of physical media files.
