Hello, your new system has a powerful processor but limited RAM and a dedicated graphics card. The games you're trying to run are demanding more resources than your setup can handle, causing delays or crashes. Check if the game settings are optimized for lower performance or consider using an older machine for smoother play. Let me know if you need further advice!

Ensure your SSD supports trimming and optimization. Without it, consider installing one for better performance.

Did you remove the 6-year-old hard drive from your old computer and install it in the new one? It might simply be an older drive that’s slowing down as it nears the end of its lifespan to extend its life. If so, swapping it out with a new HDD or SSD would significantly boost performance. I mostly use my games on a 1TB WD Blue drive, which still offers decent load times. It doesn’t match the speed of the games stored on my SSD, though they all open reasonably quickly on the HDD.

I'm installing a brand new 7200 hdd. I also have an SSD, but I mainly use it for the operating system.

I didn't perform a fresh setup on a brand-new SSD.

Loading speed mainly depends on your storage type. If you're playing on an HDD, expect longer wait times for initial screens and loading. Try a quick test: open Task Manager (should be Windows 10), change the drive to HDD, then launch the game. Once loaded, close the game and verify in Task Manager if the HDD was at full capacity. This should confirm if the HDD is slowing you down, making an SSD a better option for faster performance.

It seems your bus speed might not align with other components of your system. However, this shouldn't cause delays. Your internet connection appears strong, but it could be inconsistent.

This idea is helpful, though it doesn’t guarantee you must use an SSD when storage is full. You might already have a failing drive, or other programs could be consuming space.
