The Intel build would actually be superior. Particularly with the GPU included. You could even replace it with a 12600k and a cooler, still keeping it close to 1000. The main drawback of the AMD AM4 build is that there would be limited upgrade options.

The results are marginally improved using the 12400. The motherboard is compatible with i7 14700 after a BIOS update. The B550 can handle 5800X3D, but that's the extent of it.

It seems they are similar. Thermalright typically releases many coolers. I have a top-notch assassin on a 12600kf, and it’s an excellent cooler for the price.
