Please help optimize my twitch stream
I've been browsing the forums for a while now. Everyone seems really supportive, so I thought I could find some guidance for my Twitch channel. I'm planning to share all the details that might be useful for optimizing my stream. Any assistance would mean a lot. Up and down tests were performed using speedtest.net. The download was 60.83 MB, and the upload improved by 10.14 MB. Please don't mock my old PC—it's still functional, though I haven't afforded the funds to upgrade everything at once. It's running at 2.4 GHz on a Maximus II Formula (G0 revision for those who remember). I'm using 4 GB of Mushkin Memory DDR2 AMD Radeon HD 6870. OBS will be my tool. I also have a Plantronics GameCon headset and an HD webcam mounted on my monitor. During recording sessions, the video often lagged compared to what OBS displayed, and audio would suddenly drop when the game was played. If you watch the video at the 15:00 minute mark, you'll notice a clear lag point—like a knife juggler being replaced by another one, followed by a noticeable delay. This is exactly where I want to focus my setup improvements so I can build a following and enjoy what I do while sharing it with others. Thanks for your support, and once registered I’ll help wherever I can (I’m comfortable building PCs).
I believe that's correct. You might be able to adjust certain options to improve its performance.
Increasing your FSB speed can be beneficial, but 4GB RAM might feel demanding. Consider aiming for at least 3-3.2GHz instead.
I’ve had some water on it since I used to push at 3.4ghz all day without much heat buildup. My VID was around 1.117, so that’s the situation. Recently I’ve been less active with overclocking. The system is quite old, and I’m thinking about getting a new one if possible, as soon as I can. I’m planning to upgrade to 16GB of RAM and a better GPU, plus everything else.
