Hello my dear friends, I’m facing a serious issue. I recently swapped out my SSD, HDD, and Windows for my laptop. After installing everything and moving all my previous data to the new HDD, I installed the SCP tool kit to run DualShock 3 on Windows. Due to some unexpected reason, I removed it afterward, which caused a major problem: my healthy HDD with just one partition returned to its original state with two partitions, locking the one containing my data and making it inaccessible. I tried extending the HDD partition back to one and changed ownership to fix things, but unfortunately, no data remained. I’m confused about why this happened despite everything I did. My system details are: Windows 11, GTX 1050 TI 4GB, Core i7 7700 HQ, 2 TB SSD, and 2 TB HDD.

I think much of your current problem comes from W11 on a 7700, which isn't compatible with an official OS release. SCP Toolkit, often criticized for being unreliable, seems unlikely to be the root cause. Personally, I'd suggest installing a supported OS version and using proper backups going forward.

Possible Causes of the Problem:
Partition Table Issues
File System Problems
Ownership and Access Rights
Limitations of Data Recovery Tools
Preventive Measures for the Future
Perform Frequent Backups
Keep Disks in Good Condition
Do Not Remove Unknown Programs Without Confirmation
Activate System Restore in Windows to establish backup points before altering your system, allowing you to return to a reliable state without losing data.
