I've been facing problems with my PC over the past couple of days. The BIOS was severely damaged, so removing the CMOS battery didn't help. Checking each RAM module still showed errors. After reseating the CPU and removing the extension card, I installed the latest BIOS but issues persisted. I've replaced all HDMI cables and am using just a PC to monitor without any additional software. When I open Windows, it takes about two seconds before the lock screen appears again. If you notice anything else, let me know or consider replacing the system altogether. Thanks ahead!

Also noted that BIOS might work fine while Windows fails, and vice versa. Hardware details: i5-13600k, 1TB iGPU, Teamgroup SSD 2x4TB WD blue, MSI Pro Z690-A with Noctua NHD15.

Do you possess additional bios? If absent, you'll need to refresh the bios in a final attempt.

He mentioned testing the newest BIOS version. Can you secure an affordable graphics card to eliminate the possibility of a defective built-in GPU?

Take your friends' GPU and give it a shot. You might find a Radeon R7 240 for just $30 on Amazon. It's easy to swap it back when you're done.

I'm currently reinstalling Windows and will attempt the Amazon method later.

We're checking to ensure the iGPU isn't the issue. If a specific GPU doesn't resolve the problem, we'll investigate other components like the motherboard, CPU, or RAM.
