You're experiencing sudden stuttering in GTA V on your HP Victus laptop with those specifications. It might be related to hardware issues from dropping the device. Please check for any damage and consider seeking further assistance. Thank you.
While running GTA 5 on a 3050 GPU, the framerate dropped sharply to 22 fps suddenly. Otherwise it was around 60. Both CPU and GPU temperatures were extremely high.

HP victus features the latest 12th generation i5 turbo with a 4.2ghz clock speed, 16gb of RAM, a 3050 GPU, and 512gb SSD. Performance is consistent across all games, and all required drivers are current.
I'm playing GTA V on my HP victus gaming laptop and achieving FPS over 100, but when the FPS drops to 30-40 for about a minute, the GPU clock speed jumps to 1500MHz and stays there until FPS rises again above 100.
To sum it up:
40fps – GPU Clock at 1500MHz (constant)
>100fps – Clock fluctuates around 1200MHz (quick changes)
Specs: i5-12450h, 16GB RAM, Nvidia 3050, 4GB VRAM, Windows 11 (updated), GPU drivers current.
Experts, I don’t want to create duplicate threads but please help me. I’m really stressed and worried. Question - GPU core clock constant 1500MHz While playing GTA V on my HP victus gaming laptop, I get FPS over 100, but when it drops to 30-40 for about a minute, the GPU clock jumps back up to 1500MHz and stays that way until FPS rises again above 100. In short, 40fps with a constant 1500MHz... forums. I’ve seen similar videos on YouTube with the same model and in-game settings: View: https://youtu.be/-P1uh21MNJM?si=Aze62uMOrUF4RW8-
Seems to be overheating and reducing performance. Normal temperature gives good FPS, but low FPS causes throttling, then it cools down and FPS improves again. Probably needs cleaning or a cooling pad.
