I was removing the CPU while handling the cooler. I checked and realized what it was. How can I free this CPU from getting stuck?

Seems like you're using packing foam, and a toothpick could assist.

Grip the cooler firmly and press the edge of the PCB against the CPU. Rotate them back and forth, breaking the adhesive hold.

Consensus reached. It resembles open-cell foam. A toothpick serves as the ideal instrument for gently extracting it, twisting them apart as if dismantling an Oreo.

Preheat the paste and consider using a dryer with hot air.

I still have the hairdryer working, but it feels like I applied glue instead of thermal paste.

Try a bit more pressure, it will work. It’s not exactly cement, but it feels solid when you believe you shouldn’t be too harsh on PC components. I’m sorry you’re having trouble getting it up, but it’s unclear how a hair dryer contributes here.
