I’m facing intense stuttering in Watch Dogs 2 even at the lowest graphics level and 720p. It occurs in busy cities (possibly because of more textures and a slower hard drive) while driving. My system specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X, stock CPU, GTX 1050 to 4GB RAM, 2400 MHz clock, 8GB beam memory, and 2400 MHz processor. This issue hasn’t happened with any other game, but it still does. I understand the game isn’t optimized for performance.

Occasionally 80-90% and sometimes 100% are achieved.

It's likely due to a CPU bottleneck. You might consider overclocking, though I'm not sure it will make much of a difference.

Your system is struggling with performance on that setup.

Operating on 5820k and 1070gtx with no problems. Performance is high to ultra, around 50 to 60 fps.

Watches Dogs 2 demands a lot from the CPU, yet it performs well overall. Reducing shadows and lowering geometry quality helps. These are the main areas that strain processing power in the game. My i7 6700 struggles to keep steady 60 FPS when both are set to ultra or high. I'm currently running geometry at high and shadows at ultra—shadows look stunning here, though CPU usage spikes in busy areas but remains manageable. EDIT: It looks like you've already tried the lower settings. 1500X shouldn't overload a GTX 1050.

Problem resolved: In the Nvidia control panel, set Pre rendered frames to 4 and create a custom resolution at 40 fps. In Watch Dogs 2, adjust frame rate to 40 VSync with normal settings. Performance is stable, allowing high detail playback consistently at 40FPS.
