Hardware details:
GPU: AMD 9060xt with 16GB RAM
CPU: i5-10600K
Motherboard: Asus TUF gaming z490-plus
Memory: Corsair Vengence 32GB DDR4 4200MHz
Storage: M.2 NVME Samsung EVO 970
Power Supply: Corsair rm850x

Recent changes: I switched from an RX6600 to the 9060xt, and everything functioned normally until I attempted to run Wuthering Waves. The application would become unresponsive, either quitting abruptly with a DXGI error or freezing completely. While trying to start the game, my GPU temperature fluctuated sharply between 180 and 30 watts. I suspect this instability might be due to VRAM issues. My previous RX6600 configuration included VRAM overclocking tailored for Wuthering Waves; after upgrading, I didn’t reset those settings, leaving the card factory configured.

I’ve observed:
- First launch was stable with consistent FPS, but crashes occurred when adjusting settings.
- Only one successful session after a long stuttering shader compilation screen.
- Even after the game ended due to DXGI errors, my PC would freeze excessively and my screen would lock.
- Audio remained functional during freezing.
- Other applications and benchmarks performed without problems.
- Switching back to the RX6600 resolved the problem.

Previous troubleshooting steps:
- Ran an antivirus scan
- Replaced GPU
- Reinstalled drivers (using DDU)
- Used a different driver version
- Tried both DirectX 12 and DirectX 11 modes
- Disabled all overclocks
- Attempted VRAM/CPU overclocking plus undervolting
- Obtained another 9060xt with 16GB RAM
- Reinstalled the game
- Cleared shader caches
- Started in safe mode

Welcome to the forums, new member!
PSU: Corsair rm850x
What age is your PSU in this setup?
Mobo: Asus TUF gaming z490-plus
Current BIOS version for your motherboard?
GPU driver clean install (Using DDU)
Recommended to use DDU in Safe Mode to eliminate all GPU drivers (Intel, Nvidia, AMD), then restart and install the newest (or preferred) driver from AMD's support site via an elevated command, such as Right click installer > Run as Administrator.

Hello Lutfi, thank you for the welcome.
My PSU is about four years old and my BIOS is 0602 x64.
I plan to reinstall it now and will update you on the outcome.
Edit: I removed the drivers in safe mode and then re-downloaded them with administrator privileges, but the freezing issue still persists.

your bios is presently 0602 x64.
https://www.asus.com/motherboards-c...he...-Z490-PLUS
there are pending bios updates.
after updating the bios, check if rebar is activated in bios.

I just upgraded my BIOS to the newest release and turned on Rebar within it, but that didn't resolve the issue. I believe the problem might lie with the power supply, as I performed a stress test in my AMD Radeon settings where the power fluctuated to 30 times.
