I'm creating a small project for a friend using parts I already own. He mainly plays World of Warcraft. My system has an i5 2500K with a 3.3GHz clock speed and an HD6870 GPU, plus 16GB of RAM. I'm wondering if this setup could handle WoW on Ultra settings.
He wants to know if he could run WoW on ultra using those specifications.
I'm not sure about running Wow on Ultra. Could you clarify the platform and game version?
It seems unlikely. The WoW engine has seen significant graphical enhancements, making the 6870 a likely performance issue. The CPU remains acceptable, though a substantial overclock could be necessary.
It hasn't changed much at all. The game still works just fine, though it might feel a bit different now.
