Hi, your performance seems normal at 140 FPS, but the lag appears when you enter water. This could be due to environmental effects or system behavior under different conditions. Your monitor’s 60Hz refresh rate might interact with the game’s frame handling, especially if there are graphical optimizations triggered by entering water.

Sorry if it seemed overly boastful, just hoping more folks engage with my content. My setup includes a GTX 1080 Turbo, i7-6700k, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 3000MHz CPU, 1000W PSU, and the game runs on a 512GB SSD.

Subautica remains somewhat unstable, possibly due to your save file. The game may freeze while you're using it, but performance should improve quickly once the issue is resolved. I'm running on a 4690K, R9 380 with 8GB RAM, and I often experience stutters because of the game's physics intensity.

The game lacks optimization, and the jump from the surface often causes significant lag.

I usually experience delays when moving above the water near the aurora or islands. This happens because the system has to load shaders for the water, textures of the water, and island/aurora details constantly. I believe this is mainly due to the fact that optimization isn’t very strong, as Sakkura mentioned.

Absolutely, lag can occur when moving from the surface to deeper water, especially in areas with strong currents or underwater topography.

It's actually smooth performance at 1080p with Ultra settings. Just not an issue yet.

It seems like you're feeling a bit uncertain about the situation. Maybe you just want to keep an eye on things and hope for improvements.
