I discovered a way to bypass the crashes. It seems you need to slow down your graphics card. I reduced my R9 380 by 9 MHz and it stopped crashing. It looks like a certain mod was also triggering the issues—sometimes it works, sometimes not. The blurring effect is much more obvious at 720p, though it appears in 1080p but rarely. Based on these findings, I had to change my mind about buying it only when it's cheap.
