I'm experiencing an issue with Days Gone where my computer runs smoothly at 165 fps, but the 99% FPS display shows a weak signal around 70 fps. This makes the game appear choppy even though the actual performance is high. The PC specs include a Ryzen 5800x3d, RTX 4080, 32 GB RAM, and 3200 MHz video card. The stream from the game link appears to be affected.

Check if BIOS, drivers, and chipset updates are complete. Monitor temperatures to ensure stability.

I've got the newest bios ready. The chipset is up to date. Temperatures are normal, CPU runs at 75, GPU at 60.

What other titles are available? CPU and GPU performance can be reviewed using MSI Afterburner's overlay. Visit msi.com for detailed stats.

No, I'm not checking for an undervolt.

This problem stands out because the human eye can technically detect changes as small as 1 millisecond, which corresponds to around 1000 frames per second. However, the brain processes these rapidly, allowing us to perceive subtle movements like a sabertooth tiger twitching far away. A sudden drop in frame rate can result from several factors, such as an unstable voltage supply—like someone using an undervolted CPU without realizing it. It’s wise to check for recent software updates that might be causing issues. If you’ve recently added any PCIe devices or extra expansion cards besides the dedicated GPU, try testing without them. Another possibility is a faulty drive—whether an HDD, SATA SSD, or NVMe—that could send unexpected CPU interrupt signals, briefly locking the processor. If you have more than just your primary boot drive installed, disconnect it and see if performance improves. Network stability also plays a role; games often rely on smooth communication with servers for positioning data. A brief disconnection can delay the GPU’s response, making the game lag noticeably. These are just some of the common causes—more details will emerge after addressing these basics.
