I've always enjoyed racing games, but playing on my PC is way better with a controller. Before, I used the Xbox 360 wireless adapter so I could use it on my PC, but I faced many issues—mainly it would disconnect frequently. That led me to buy the new Xbox One S controller, which has Bluetooth built in for convenience. Still, I'm having trouble connecting it; sometimes it drops completely or just stops working until I restart it. If anyone can help or share similar experiences, I'd really appreciate it.

You could simply use a dongle, but will the controller automatically disable once activated? It should function with most non-Steam titles.

What’s the issue? It freezes the controls and I have to restart it. I really enjoy the feel and appearance of the Xbox controller—don’t want anything too basic.

You can use a connected Xbox controller. Skip the wireless option when you're working on the PC. Also, wired controllers don't require batteries or charging.

They have a micro USB port, so you can connect it for charging or data transfer depending on the device.

Retrieve the adapter—it features a larger antenna than any Bluetooth dongle or internal one, so it should function properly.
