Over the past few months I've observed that after just five minutes of gaming, especially when adjusting the camera, I often feel nauseous. It hasn't affected me before, and I used to play for hours without any issues. Have you experienced this too, or do you have tips to help with motion sickness while gaming? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What titles are you enjoying right now? Do you see this trend in certain games more than others—and if yes, which ones? Are you usually tweaking your field of view, or do you stick with the standard setting? Many players experience dizziness from very narrow (often default) FOV options. I usually feel discomfort when playing first-person games at 80* or less of field of view for extended play.

Consider using medication designed to alleviate motion sickness before gaming sessions and observe any improvement.

You usually enjoy shooters such as Far Cry and Battlefield, but you also play GTA V and Witcher 3. FOV adjustments might help improve your experience.

In first-person titles, consider adjusting the field of view to around 90 degrees. Third-person games are less likely to trigger FOV problems for most players, though this isn't unheard of. FOV changes are typically not available in-game menus, but can often be modified via third-party tools or config file edits in various games.

Talk to a professional. No one here is an expert. No one knows your medication. A general practitioner can collect a blood sample and run tests, which helps identify any health issues or recommend further specialists if needed.

I began to experience discomfort this evening after hours spent on HL2. This is the first time I've felt unwell while playing a game before.

I explored this topic and found an article that seems relevant. It might be useful, but keep in mind it's health-related—so if you're concerned, consult a professional before trying anything.

Have you been getting sufficient rest? Is your nutrition balanced? Do you require corrective lenses? These concerns have often caused me discomfort during motion. Taking a short break from gaming might help before resuming.

Adjust your field of view to a higher setting than 90. I used to set it around 50-60 when I first played PC, but later realized 90+ works much better. If you skip in about a minute, Taran clarifies it more clearly than I did.
