hello everyone, i'm not entirely sure why, despite having a zotac 1080 ti mini, msi z370 gaming pro carbon, corsair vengeance pro rgb 3200 mhz, and an i7 8700, i'm still only managing around 120 fps in overwatch on ultra settings. I thought 1080 ti should be capable of much higher performance, especially on epic. Thanks for taking the time to help!

It might be due to your FPS limit being set at 120. Verify your Overwatch configuration and adjust the maximum to 300 FPS.

It's possible the performance issues stem from temperature. You should verify both CPU and GPU status. Also, it's unclear whether you're playing casually or competitively, but many players use all low settings and a 75% render scale to enhance enemy visibility.

Task manager should be running in the background for a short time to check system performance. It will assess whether any CPU cores are at maximum usage or if the GPU is saturated. Also, confirm if dual-channel memory is enabled. You might also notice an FPS cap, and I'll verify its stability at 120 frames. Lastly, check the current resolution being used.

dual channel works but isn't stable at 120, it fluctuates widely between 110 and 130

It seems your GPU is operating at full capacity. The current resolution you're using might be too high; adjusting the scale setting in Overwatch's graphics options to 100 could cause performance issues.

Did you verify the render scale configuration? It surprised me initially.
