I’m struggling to reach over 70 fps in mminecraf. It seems I might have too much memory, but I’m not sure what’s causing the issue. I also have the 64-bit Java version installed. My system specs are: FX 8350, Sapphire R9 290, 16 GB of GSKill RipJaws RAM.

Might be constrained by the engine's frame size, and it's operating with Java.

Switch to OpenGL if you haven’t done so already.

Ensure you have 64-bit Java installed. Download additional RAM if needed.

It's because Minecraft runs more difficult than Crysis 3, which is why I no longer play it...and because I dislike it.

You've covered the basics well. Have you tried Opifine or MCPatcher? If you're serious about boosting FPS, Optifine Ultra is a good choice and experimenting with settings can help. You might also use their debug display to identify potential bottlenecks.
