I receive only 10-30 fps in Minecraft. Specs include 12900k, 32gb 3600mhz cl36 dual channel DDR4, 3080, 850w PSU (no overclocking), 1440p 165hz monitor. The game runs on a 980 pro 1tb from Samsung. Previously I had a 1050ti before switching to the 3080. That system performed well with more frames than now. All drivers are updated to the latest version, and the NVIDIA control panel uses factory settings. I removed old drivers from the 1050ti. The Windows 11 install is about six months old. There’s 50% free space on the SSD. RAM is configured with XMP in the BIOS. Other games run smoothly.

Pressing F3 displays the 3080 as the main GPU or the integrated graphics, depending on your system configuration.

It displays the GPU but actual utilization stays low at around 10%. Your CPU remains at full capacity across all cores. You previously used igpu before installing the 3080, and also ran a 1050ti between those upgrades. The change was recorded on April 14, 2022 by Weniger_ist_mehr.

Do you currently have any texture packs or mods added? Minecraft operates at a specific resolution and uses a certain render distance. Applying Optifine can boost your frames per second, yet the overall performance remains limited, suggesting another problem exists. Have you ensured Java is updated to the newest release?

I'm using only OptiFine with the default Java version. The game has 12GB RAM, runs at 1440p, and uses 32 render chunks. I don't have any shaders or texture packs installed. My 1050 Ti can handle 32 chunks at 60 FPS on this system.

It's odd. My setup uses MC on a M1 MacBook Pro with 720p resolution, maximum graphics settings, and Optifine rendering at 400+ FPS over 16 chunks. You should be able to match that performance on your system.

Check if VSync is active and see if FPS caps, then examine Video Settings.

In Minecraft and Nvidia control panel, VSync is disabled. In-game FPS cap is set to unlimited.

Additional details about the GPU: 240 MHz speed, storage capacity around 9500MHz, fan at 0 RPM, power usage between 80-90 watts, 0.7V delay, average response time about 375ms.

I attempt to resolve the issue using ddu, then provide further details afterward.
