You're experiencing a low-resolution display when using your Oculus Quest in virtual desktops, but your frame rate remains stable. This can make games difficult to play.

The connection speed will be limited by the available bandwidth between your device and Quest. If it doesn’t meet expectations, the system will reduce quality to maintain performance goals like frame rate or latency. Ensure your hardware is suitable and consider adjusting settings in SteamVR or VD to improve clarity.

I own a 2070 Super with a Ryzen 7 2700x, which suggests my PC setup is solid. With 900 MB/s internet, I believe I have enough bandwidth for most games at maximum settings in VR. I've reviewed several videos for optimal configurations, but none seem to make a significant difference. I attempted the "switch to optimal resolution" option and it didn’t help much. I also tried OVR Advanced Settings on Steam, setting the resolution scale to 340%. It did improve things slightly, though the image remained somewhat blurry.

The connection delay between devices appears unusual. Could you clarify what you mean by "latency"?

Previously, the latency was approximately 30 to 40 milliseconds.

What router are you using? This looks like an unusual concern—I know someone with a comparable setup who doesn’t face this issue.

You are directly linked to the modem via Ethernet connection.

The information you provided doesn't include any details about the resolution reported by SteamVR. Please ensure you've included the relevant report or data from SteamVR, and let me know if you'd like help interpreting it.

It also mentioned 350%. Adjusting something in OVR will reflect the same detail in SteamVR.
