The main concern seems to be background glare that’s excessively bright. If the screen and TV are set to a single brightness level but there’s a strong light in the corner, it can interfere. Your eyes are optimized for the on-screen light, not the much brighter external source.

Increases visual fatigue, causes dryness, may lead to headaches. Raises risk of eye problems such as glaucoma. Struggles with screen time in low light, immediate pain occurs. Lights should be turned up instead.
