Hello everyone, welcome! I'm just starting out and looking to set up a budget gaming PC. I've managed to score a decent Intel Core i3 9100F and paired it with an Asus H110M-K micro-ATX board. The ASUS RX580 dual OC is working well. Could anyone share their thoughts on the Intel 9100F Core i3 experience? Thanks a lot!

Don't take it seriously. The i3 9100 doesn't fit with 100 and 200 series boards. It's a 4-core CPU from 2020, which isn't great for gaming these days. A Ryzen 1600AF would be a better choice and offer much better performance.

It's essentially a 6th generation i5 without an integrated graphics card—consider it not worth the investment. You might opt for a Ryzen 2600 for a bit more, or consider a refurbished 6th generation i5 for a better price.

I'm based in Pakistan and discovered this offer in Pakistani Rupees. I also saw a Ryzen 3 3200G in the same price range. I currently have a 450W power supply, but I plan to replace it later after the pandemic. I'll be getting two 0.5TB and one 1TB SSD drives. I'm also considering the Ryzen 5 1600 AF and haven't confirmed its availability in my country. My budget is modest but manageable, so I'd appreciate your advice.

Couldn't locate any pre-owned 6th generation chips nearby.

The 9100f + h110 package isn't functioning because the board doesn't support the CPU.

It was meant solely to highlight that the i3 9100f is largely unnecessary and demonstrate its performance matches a basic 4th generation i5.
