It might be the PS5 release, not the PS3. The trailer mentions it's available now on PS5, which could fit. It’s possible the PS4 version exists too, though that seems less likely.

PS4 emulators are gradually being created, but retail titles aren't launching yet and there are many challenges ahead. It may take years before they're fully functional, but the outlook is promising. Notably, the method being used leans more toward virtual machines rather than traditional emulators we're familiar with. Check out these projects: https://github.com/red-prig/fpPS4 and https://github.com/devofspine/spine

I know about these initiatives, but currently they're only a very basic emulator. That's why I gave the answer as I did. I thought the same for PS4 and Xbox One in 2014—likely virtualization or emulation, not just hardware simulation, will be key. Good to be on the right track!

I see where you're coming from, the current emulators are in no way a solution to OPs problem I just wanted to add some more context, I love coming to forums like this and learning about new tech even if it's not quite ready for prime time. I was a bit surprised that we are seeing PS4 emulation before xbox one, knowing completely nothing about emulator development I assumed it would be easier because of it's similarities to windows but then again I suppose there is less incentive since a lot of xbox exclusives make it to pc eventually.

I’ll have to search for it, but there was one PS4 emulator that could run a few games with limited graphics (maybe Devofspine... but I don’t remember the name anymore). Old myths say Xbox is tougher to emulate, but it seems like PS4/5 might face similar challenges now. Ironically, they’re more like a standard PC box than the custom PS consoles used before.

P.S.: This is what I remember about reverse engineering Xbox specifically—it’s much more difficult because of PC architecture, and Microsoft had more freedom to implement strong encryption. Sony, on the other hand, focused on their own solutions to ensure compatibility.
