You can try setting your device to prioritize bandwidth for gaming. Your TP-Link Archer-D50 should support Quality of Service (QoS) settings, which let you allocate more data to gaming traffic over other activities like streaming or downloads. Check the device settings or contact TP-Link support for detailed instructions.

You can control access for other devices and let me know if you discover a method using your router.

Check the router first to understand its settings. The admin credentials are usually located at the bottom of the device. After accessing the router, find its IP address—use the command prompt on Windows or the appropriate method for MacOS.

SQM offers tremendous value. You can easily boost my internet speed with numerous P2P links or downloads/uploads, and it would go unnoticed. https://www.bufferbloat.net/projects/blo...ing_Right/ A compatible OpenWRT router is sufficient. https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/netw...haping/sqm

Just reviewed some fundamental Archer D50 details. It seems to offer basic bandwidth management, though it doesn’t appear to support QoS features. I’ve noticed that bandwidth-restricted connections benefit greatly from strong QoS handling, but since I’m not a gamer, I don’t have much hands-on experience with that aspect.

This person looks like a kid, so don’t reinstall the router OS or change IP settings. I’m keeping things easy for him and using what he already has.

They have limited data available. Using the link together could cause issues for many users. Check the bandwidth settings on the user guide (page 17) or refer to this resource.

I'm reviewing the SQM material I came across and, if I'm not mistaken, should consider applying the banthwith control in the router configurations based on the feedback from others

It sounds like you're describing a situation where someone is using a free or unpaid service and wants to enforce restrictions on others.

SQM seems acceptable since it focuses on smaller packets, though bandwidth constraints are a bit overstated. It might help to ensure upstream isn’t pushing beyond its limits, which could benefit everyone by cutting down bufferbloat.
