light fades quickly, acting like a bunch of loose parts. One second I'm smooth at 120fps, the next it drops to 5! It's really bad sometimes! My CPU stays at full power while the rest stay around 70%.

pentium i3 pentium is suitable for laptops, isn't it? i3 is often used in budget builds, while gaming PCs typically don't cost that much—around 400€.

For games that don’t run smoothly on dual-core processors, opting for a quad-core AMD chip like a 760K would be a smarter choice. It would handle more tasks at once and offer better overall performance.

I own a G3258 now, but I remember this experience. Tomb Raider, Skyrim, and Shadow of Mordor all struggled heavily, even on a higher-end GPU (GTX 970). Far Cry 4 would freeze completely. The only recent AAA title that ran smoothly was Bioshock Infinite, which kept my GPU usage around 90% most of the time despite both cores being maxed out. Obviously pairing a 970 with a G3258 is a mistake—I only did it briefly while saving up for a better setup.
