Playing games on a 17-inch display?
Hello, thanks for reaching out. I don’t use a laptop, but I’ve heard a lot about them lately. The new GPUs for laptops like the 970m and 980m are pretty impressive, along with 100hz screens and GSync support. Still, most gaming laptops today have around 17-inch displays, while desktops often offer bigger screens. How does that affect the gaming experience? Does the smaller size make immersion feel less? What do you think? Looking forward to your thoughts!
You're experiencing discomfort from a close display. To improve your setup, consider adjusting the distance between you and the screen or using a separate keyboard for better ergonomics.
I play on a 15.6-inch laptop and I'm not sure why everyone is talking. It's fine, actually—it's really great for me. My screen is 1080p IPS, which is the best I've seen. I don't take it for granted after using low-quality 1050p TN monitors before.
You're used to playing on a 15-inch display now. I'll keep up with that.
The 17-inch size works well, but a monitor can be used at any time.
