Playing games from an external SSD outside the main system
What model laptop are you considering? Make sure there aren't any other M.2 ports or similar features. If there are, I'd opt for a 2TB storage option that fits your device. Obtain an external USB cable to connect it. Duplicate the existing 1TB drive onto the larger 2TB drive using any software you prefer, then replace the drives. I've done this several times in similar scenarios. I personally never play games via USB connections.
Surely unless the connection is badly damaged, using USB should work and be functional in most games that don’t need an SSD. Some titles load a huge amount of data from the disk constantly, which might cause delays through the external port.
Okay thanks, it’s an older laptop from Lenovo and the model sticker seems to have been removed.
