Hey, this might be a problem with your setup or the game itself. You mentioned your PC specs are pretty standard, but the crash happens right after clicking 'Continue' on the main menu. Even when you try low resolution and set it in window mode, it still fails. It’s possible the game isn’t optimized well for your hardware, or there could be an issue with your system. I’m not sure if your PC is faulty or if the game needs better tuning before you move to a Windows port.

Verify your drivers and confirm they’re current. If they are, try downgrading to an older version to test. If neither option succeeds, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to assist.

I have the newest drivers installed, but using NVIDIA's optimized version always causes crashes at the same location. For Visual C++ and the .NET framework, I can't download them; whenever I search for them online, the first result is a Microsoft site that doesn't exist. It looks like the only option right now is to wait, since refunds on the Windows Store aren't available either.

Game might be quite inconsistent right now. Official forums feature several persistent discussions and numerous other threads addressing the problem along with various attempts at solutions, each with differing degrees of effectiveness for users. http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/turn10...---PC.aspx

Yes, you can enjoy the game in HDR on your PC if it supports it. For top HDR TV options, look into models like the LG C3, Sony X90X, or Samsung QLED BUXUS series—they offer excellent picture quality and are great for future upgrades.

I doubt an HDR choice will appear until you own an HDR TV. However, your 980 model does support HDR, making it a solid starting point for exploration here: http://ca.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-usage...aming/best edit. For the optimal HDR experience, you’ll need a TV with HDR10 certification—some devices offer support but may not provide the highest quality.

Have you checked if Avast is set up on your system? It seems to be triggering the crash of the Playgrounds logo.

For a group facing the same issue, turning off microphone access in Windows—via Settings, Privacy, and Microphone—prevented the Forza Horizon 3 feature from appearing.
