I suggest holding off and observing Coffee Lake's offerings first, since backward compatibility has been a major point of Intel's argument.

Running VirtualBox with XP, added features, 3D boost, and full VRAM capacity let a GeForce 6800 emulate itself. I even achieved 60 FPS for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.
