The problem lies in the fact that not every game uses this technology, but titles such as Enlisted, Return to Moria, The Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice Edition, and Ghost of Tsushima cause my GPU to hit nearly 110 degrees on the hotspot. It might be related to Unreal Engine, while games like Manor Lords or The Outer Worlds keep it under 100. For context, my PC case is a CoolerMaster Masterbox TD500 Mesh, and I have already replaced all thermal pads on my 3080 graphics card about a month ago. Also, I live in a very cold place during winter, so reaching 110 degrees isn’t a big issue.
you probably did something wrong during a repaste, a properly pasted gpu should will overheat (unless your cooler is defective but i doubt it) download and run furmark to verify, if it overheats then you did something wrong
Consider your needs and the device's features before deciding.
