What's your average FPS on H1Z1 using the R9 290x? You mentioned around 50 FPS at high settings with 3000 render, which is typical for that hardware. Your specs look solid—RAM, CPU, and GPU all match what you'd expect. Cheers!

The main concern is whether the visual quality meets expectations for 50 frames per second on a 290x resolution. If it does, it's typical; if not, it may be unusual. I'm not very familiar with the game, but you should consider these points unless it seems overly unoptimized.

The game seems to be of poor quality, running at only 50 frames per second on a 290x display. I think the stalker clear sky version looks superior.

I run the game at 1080p using a 1 GX 670, achieving about 50 frames per second. It looks like our setups are very similar except for the graphics card.

Game performance isn't fully optimized. At 290 with 2560x1440p resolution and 2500k OC, I'm maintaining around 50 FPS. Borderless in fullscreen mode looks great except for Shadows and Pixel Quality, which are set to High. I adjusted my UserOptions.ini since the presets don't automatically update all values—textures remain on Low.

Ugh... I was counting on the game being well-optimized for AMD, so I'm just holding my breath and hoping for a few hundred updates before that happens.

Devices should focus on delivering solid early access versions instead of releasing flawed games. Paying for something known to have issues isn't worth it unless you’re ready to offer feedback and support to improve it. This approach helps developers refine the product and move it forward effectively.
