Assassins Creed is a favorite among you, and after trying Black Flag, I’m ready for something newer. Syndicate sounds good, but I prefer not to follow the story. I want to avoid spoilers from YouTube. If anyone in the group has played these titles, just let me know if you think it’s better to revisit Unity and Rogue or go straight to Syndicate.
Unity isn't great, but if you enjoy the story, go for it. The game itself is pretty poor—though I own it, I still prefer the novel. Rogue stands out among the three and four-player arcs in America; it's actually an upgraded version, highly recommended. Syndicate is a bit better since you can play as Eve.
The Ezio trilogy stands out as my top picks in the series. It offers great gameplay and a compelling narrative. I disliked 3 due to the main character feeling more like a grumpy teen, and the overall experience was disappointing. The combat also didn’t impress me. I haven’t played 4 or Rogue yet, but I’m hopeful they’ll improve. Unity managed to deliver a decent story, though the fighting was lacking.
It's hard to grasp the frustration with most Ubisoft titles and the company as a whole. I've never faced any issues with Ubisoft or their support team. I enjoyed Watch_Dogs 1 and 2, plus all the Assassin's Creed games. AC3 was my first experience with that series. I haven't finished Unity or Syndicate because the story in Unity feels quite bland and slow, and in Syndicate, it takes about five minutes to reach a mission that actually takes half an hour to finish. I genuinely don't want to play any of these games for the next couple of years. The stories themselves seem completely unrelated.
