I’d go with KB+M, but honestly, you should test both options and pick the one that suits you best.

I really don’t like controllers, but the GameCube ones are the only ones that feel right to me. I’ve spent thousands of hours on SSB:M using just a keyboard and mouse. Still, console players seem okay with it.
