Playing ARMA 3 at low FPS on a GTX 1070 is common.
Hello everyone, I'm resuming this discussion I began. The problem is that even on medium settings, my frame rate drops to 40-75 FPS. I was told that performance depends mainly on the CPU. I've taken screenshots showing the CPU usage, frame rate, and RAM details. Could anyone help explain why the FPS is low? What adjustments can I make to run CPU and GPU at full capacity, and would that actually improve things? Thanks. Also, sorry for the poor quality.
The resolution might be poorly optimized or it could occur across all games.
I'm not familiar with every match, but on Heroes of Storm I see around 133fps, though it sometimes drops. I have a second monitor set to the same resolution, and I watch YouTube there too—maybe that's the cause? Since my GTX 1070 should handle 4k at 50-60 fps for some titles, running YouTube and a game on 1920x1080 seems possible.
Interesting point about performance. Arma doesn't look that slow, especially in multiplayer, and you can get close to 60 FPS even at 1080p with a 1070. That's solid proof from my experience.
This setup follows the standard Arma configuration. Adjust view and object distances based on your actions. In multiplayer, frame rates typically range from 30 to 60 FPS (my experience). Consider these startup settings: -cpuCount=(number of cores) -exThreads=(CPU threads) -maxMem=(available RAM) -noPause -noSplash -maxVram=(GPU memory) -malloc=tbb4malloc_bi -high
