Hello everyone! I’m curious about using my integrated GPU while asleep versus my discrete one for regular tasks. The main challenge would be connecting the monitor to the motherboard, and vice versa. What do you think?

You can choose the GPU you prefer for rendering the game on Windows, making it a simpler choice.

Operating without my dedicated GPU means I'm not extending its life.

Is it a game where if you leave it running you farm or earn more of something? Depending on the game you might be able to build or buy a cheap as chips PC to use a local server and just leave that run instead. Otherwise, if that's not the case, I see no reason to this. I'd just shut the game down and sleep your computer.

Not aiming to shorten the treatment duration because it will be skipped for a few months.

Also doesn't make sense to be. Use a quality power supply, keep your GPU cooler properly, and maintain it—this way you won't shorten its lifespan. I have an 11-year-old GPU that still performs just as well as when it left the factory.

In short, yes—I own an old laptop that I could use, but my father prefers it.

Utilize your GPU for extended periods at high capacity. Review all mining GPUs—they appear unaffected by demanding tasks.
