Recently discovered a girl who was planning to launch something on Facebook and both were into gaming. She adores her Alienware machine, though it’s three years old and struggles with many demanding titles. I suspect she just has the volume turned up high. Even if her PC couldn’t run anything impressive, I’d be willing to pool our resources to build a solid gaming setup (I already spend enough on dates and concerts). I already have an idea of what components to use, but I’m unsure about games—she seems to dismiss them as not matching her tastes. She enjoys Left 4 Dead, Skyrim, League of Legends, Runescape, and used to play Terraria. I personally prefer MMOs, and her cousin plays Tera. So far, Star Wars: The Sandbox is out of the question because of my dad’s strong Star Wars enthusiasm. WoW feels like a disappointment due to its reputation. Tera is a possibility, but Archeage hasn’t been explored much yet, so I’m not confident about other decent MMOs. Since her laptop can’t handle top-tier games, I’m keeping recommendations limited to MMOs until she gets a better machine. I’ll wait for the advice and will suggest only what she’s comfortable with once we have her new setup.
