From a limited collection of over 30 games, I often return to one specific title even after acquiring newer options. Here’s why I keep coming back:
- It still brings fresh content after seven years
- Each session offers a new and enjoyable experience
- The characters are engaging and distinct
- The light-hearted nature and ongoing humor keep it fun

What about you?

Skyrim with mods, I'm getting encouraged to jump onto the Civ5 track and spend lots of time playing with friends.

I own Civ 5 and have played a little, but Team Fortress 2 feels more engaging to me. I haven’t tried the multiplayer yet, which might explain why TF2 still stands out.

In Civ 5 multiplayer sessions can stretch on for hours. Scheduling times and managing play can become quite time-consuming, especially during extended sessions.

If you had CoD4 on Steam it would be about 7,000 hours. You began using Xfire a few years after you started playing and that totals around 2,500 hours, though you mostly played without it. Things you enjoy playing it for include a huge number of mods, many maps, a great community, no hackers, dedicated servers where we control everything, and no EA restrictions or nonsense.

I noticed this from the edge, it’s now 2:30am here, and two of my Steam buddies have been locked in since around 6pm yesterday afternoon.

It makes sense that players often exit during the middle of a game because even solo campaigns can be quite lengthy.

Sure, the host must save the session; otherwise, playtime halts until everyone returns, unless the AI steps in for those absent.
