She has a powerful gaming PC and a compact NUC-style machine beside her bed for drawing with a Wacom tablet. Recently she's been eager to play Baulders Gate 3 from her bed, so I thought streaming it via Steam would be easy. But it doesn't work at all—just clicking 'CONNECT' leads to immediate failure. Her drawing rig has 8–16GB RAM, a full 5th-gen Intel desktop CPU, and an Ethernet connection, but no dedicated GPU. Are there any hidden requirements I'm missing? I've also tried Moonlight, but the devices couldn't communicate even though they're both plugged into the router. Parsec seems like a possibility, but we didn’t have much time left tonight.

Looking at the specifications, it seems an i5 processor with integrated graphics should suffice. The firewall will likely need to allow specific ports for connectivity.
