Play Steam on your PS4 using a DS4 controller.
An Xbox One controller paired with a wireless adapter tends to simplify setup. (Just connect and play)
Use your Android cable to power on and connect it for charging.
Get a Bluetooth adapter, connect your PS4 controller. Launch Steam Big Picture, navigate to settings, then controller settings, enabling PS4 Configurator support. Switch the controller on and off, and voilà—it functions smoothly across all titles. For non-Steam games, simply add them to Steam and you're good to go. You can customize each game as needed, or use it as a regular controller. If you lack a Bluetooth adapter, a USB cable works just fine. I use both methods and everything operates well. Edit: DS4Windows is also quite powerful, even surpassing the Steam Configurator approach. It eliminates the need to add games to Steam and lets you play UWP titles directly. I favor the Steam method for better control and button re-binding options, but I switch to DS4Windows when issues arise.
