Star Wars Jedi Survivor is now available on Game Pass, and I’m trying to access it. The issue is that the PC version seems to be quite poor compared to what I see on Xbox Series X. How much more difficult is it on PC? Is it even usable? Your specs: 1440p resolution, Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, RX 6700XT GPU, 2x8 DDR5 at 4800Mhz RAM, 1TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD.

It works well on my PC setup. The game runs smoothly because it’s CPU-heavy rather than GPU-dependent. For a more immersive experience, I’d choose a PC since it lets me control the character easily with keyboard and mouse. May The Force be with you as you keep practicing your parrying! The Series X graphics match a 6600XT closely, with only a modest increase. Based on my experience playing several titles on both platforms, console versions often offer strong optimization. Since you're comparing them, do you own GamePass Ultimate? You might want to test both if your connection is fast enough. The game requires around 130GB of storage.

It lags and freezes on 13900K and RTX 4090. The RAM issues remain strong—allocating the full 7900XT 20GB takes about 30 minutes, and even more time is needed to actually fill it, causing further slowdowns. Compared to the original situation, this feels similar but with a PS5 in mind. That would require settling for around 30 FPS, which is manageable since the game’s reflections are terrible and ray tracing is helping improve performance.

It seems you're experiencing some performance issues with your setup. The "Optimizing Game file" can be disruptive during startup, but you're not facing stuttering or crashes. Your frame rate stays consistently above 100 FPS, which is great! You mentioned playing in January and noticed improvements in 2024, though you haven't used the RT feature yet because latency bothers you more than turning it on. Since you don’t have a PS5 version reference, your experience might differ. Thank you for sharing your insights!

I own a Ryzen 5600 but use it for 4K with RT, which runs smoothly in the background. I’m curious about whether the main difference lies in the newer processor speed rather than its performance, especially regarding the 3D cache. Right now, I’m looking into the 5800X3D or 5700X3D models, hoping the price fits my needs without switching platforms.

And I realized earlier: the fact that it repeats each launch indicates it isn't functioning properly—it should cache assets and shaders beforehand and save them locally. Constantly doing this means it remains unstored and inaccessible, causing stuttering whenever you enter a new area, though less so on your second visit. I believe Digital Foundry has a video about this issue for Jedi Survivor.

It's possible though it remains uncertain for me. Developers shouldn't concentrate on optimizing 3D cache and overlook other players' needs. I searched for gaming comparisons but there aren't many YT reviews for Star Wars games in 4K, though one exists with 1080p and 3060TI. While average FPS has slightly improved, the 1% drop is significant. Perhaps wait for the next patch or a major sale on X3D CPU. Given the game's emphasis on parrying and dodging mechanics—especially in tougher difficulty levels—I'd suggest prioritizing higher FPS settings over heavy graphics, particularly RT (sorry for the strong opinion).

Not very warm at all, except for the poor handling of screenspace reflections. If it weren’t for that weak implementation, I’d gladly turn it off. Currently, with everything running at EPIC and RT enabled in 4K plus FSR, I’m seeing steady 60-80 FPS. However, sometimes it drops to 25-40 without any clear cause, especially when I lower the settings. Back to the original question – I believe the console is now the better choice for Jedi Survivor overall, though the PC isn’t completely unplayable if you’re willing to make some compromises. More people seem to agree that the January patch was likely the last one we’ll need.
