minecraft functions well on a Windows RT tablet you mentioned. This device should support the game, so you can consider it for your upcoming purchase.

Full Minecraft is not a Windows-only version; it's available on other platforms as well.

The full version isn't available since RT doesn't support desktop applications. To enjoy Minecraft, it should be installed via the Windows Store. The Surface Pro runs Windows 8 Pro, not RT.

The Tegra chips perform well, so you wouldn't be surprised—just the operating system is the main constraint.

It really takes a powerful processor to play Minecraft well—it's quite demanding. I think it could work on a Tegra, even though Trail Blazer chips are tough.

It seems you're switching to Windows for a full Minecraft experience instead of the Android version.

That’s essentially all the configuration details. I’m okay with 30 frames per second at a lower setting. I’ve been doing that for about 1.5 years on my dad’s old computer.

Windows RT tablets use ARM chips and can't run typical x86 or x64 apps. You're mainly restricted to content available in the Windows Store.
