GFWL is no longer around, as you mentioned. They claim they’ll support us, but in reality, for GTA we can only hope they’ll improve as PCs become more popular and release a solid GTA 5 with features like mod support. We just have to wait for better optimization. I recall when I had a decent machine—E4600, 2GB RAM, GT9600—and GTA 4 was released; it performed poorly. Even years later, on a much stronger PC, it still doesn’t run well. Rockstar’s approach will be intriguing since you can move your character between Xbox or PlayStation. I really like that. Plus, Rockstar has other options beyond Steam—the biggest and best digital distribution on PC isn’t owned by any major gaming company like Origin or Uplay.
I’m still asked to log in to both accounts. The legitimate game uses STEAM, and the update also removed my previous save file.
I often roll my eyes when I see games with GFWL features! It feels outdated to depend on Microsoft due to piracy issues!
