I was curious about needing Games For Windows Live for online play in GTA V on PC. I’m facing some issues that I’ll discuss shortly, but if I end up using games for Windows Live, I might prefer purchasing it for PS4 instead. Although I have a GTX 780, the performance won’t be as smooth on PC. Also, when trying to launch GTA IV, GFWL isn’t functioning properly. After signing in and clicking LIVE, it prompts an update and then asks to close and reopen the game repeatedly. This cycle keeps happening, and I’m unsure how to fix it. I’ve closed and reopened the game multiple times, up to six times, without success. Please assist me before deciding to buy GTA V on PS4.

If it works, I’ll take it. I’m hoping it becomes Steamworks following the GTA IV DRM removal wave—Rockstar Social, GFWL, SecUROM, and Steam would all be part of it.

According to what I recall, Microsoft eliminated the game and confirmed it wouldn't be included in GTA V.

It might feature the Rockstar Social Club – better than GFWL, yet still not very valuable in my view.

It's really frustrating with all the issues. I've given up on GTA IV after so many problems.

I'm curious about their plans for GTA Online on PC. It seems the money hacks are accumulating.

Yeah I can see that being a problem. But I hear its a real issue on consoles too.
