Play GTA 5 at 1440p with 60 frames per second.
Hey there. I’m planning to set up my PC this Monday and jump straight into playing GTA right after downloading it. Right now I only have a 1080p screen and I’m confident I can push everything to 60FPS with my 980 Ti. I’m curious—will anyone have a 1440p monitor that supports running GTA at full settings and 60FPS? I was thinking turning off advanced graphics might help, but I’d love to know if someone has seen a setup like that or has any tips. Thanks!
You're seeing around 70fps in GTA V with a 980, running at 1440p and only a few advanced settings turned off. That's a solid frame rate, especially with some optimization. A Ti would definitely help push it even higher.
You can smoothly hit 60fps at 1080p using a 980ti card. With my 280x setup, I usually see 50-70fps, which means I’ve adjusted some settings like lowering AA but your card handles much better.
I own an i5 4690k at its standard speeds paired with a GTX 970. At certain high or extreme settings at 1080p, I’m achieving around 75 frames per second. With a 1440p display using very high or ultra settings and a 980Ti GPU, it seems achievable.
I own a 1080p display but use VSR to boost it to 1440p. I achieve roughly 75fps without any additional hardware, everything else runs at standard graphics settings and a modest adjustment to the Extended Distance Scaling in Advanced Graphics.
I handle GTA V at 4K without needing AA or high settings on a 980ti running at 60fps, and a 980 would work well for 1440p too.
