Hey there, thinking about Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 or PC? Your setup is solid for a couch gaming experience—no desk needed. You mentioned a 6600k PC with 1060 6Gb RAM, which should handle it well. The controller setup is a good idea since you don’t have a desk. I’m curious if the PC version works smoothly with a controller. Based on what you’ve heard, the PS4 version tends to be less polished, but it’s still playable. If neither feels right, it might be safer to skip it.

PC compatibility requires a controller. Avoid using it on PS4—my brother did and now regrets it. Performance improves noticeably with an RX 470. Consider getting it from GOG if possible.

Sure, I'm looking into it. Are you mainly interested in saving money or something else?

GOG offers the game without DRM, as I remember. If anyone wants a reason against purchasing it on PS4, my friend received it for free from a Steam buddy. On his 1070 it stutters to around 30 FPS even with maximum settings, and at higher settings it averages about 45 FPS.

For those who enjoy rough settings, poor TAA and low frame rates, the PS4 edition is perfect. If you truly want to play the game, opt for the PC version.

Install it on your PC at least to make some adjustments with settings and hex editing, especially if you have an AMD processor.

Digital Foundry released a video covering PS4 PS4 Pro and PS5 CP2077. It didn't work on the PS4, dropping to 12fps at times.

Modify your PS4 setup, add Linux, then launch the PC version on the hacked console.
